Description
The standing Buddha is made of Basanite, Basanite is a volcanic, greenish rock. The stone gets its characteristic colour from a lot of clay minerals. The small to medium sized indentations in the rock are a characteristic feature and mark the good quality of the natural stone. The sculptures are frost-resistant, but do not tolerate road salt. Buddha right hand raised to shoulder height, the arm crooked, the palm of the hand facing outward, and the fingers upright and joined. The left hand hangs down at the side of the body.
