Description
Seated Buddha (lotus seat) on a pedestal made of basanite, a volcanic, greenish-coloured stone. The stone gets its characteristic colour from many clay minerals. The small to medium-sized depressions in the stone are a characteristic feature and characterise the good quality of the natural stone. The sculptures are frost-resistant, but do not tolerate road salt.
